So let's get real. Global warming is so upon us and we all need to do our part. I know that we've all been keepin up with recycling, turning off lights, using less water and just in general are being more aware but how about adding some "green" jeans to the mix. You're out there buying jeans anyway so this is just another way for us to do our part for the globe. Some of our favorite jean makers are tuned in to this very necessary cause for the planet. Let's take a look.

7 for All Mankind has been busy making jeans that are stylin and now they've even gone and made an organic bootcut jean. It's in their stylin sleek fit with abrasions at the pocket and thigh. It has all of the same sexy attention to detail that we have come to know and love in 7 For All Mankind with the added extra twist of coming in a dark "Yosemite" wash and of course it's organic cotton/spandex fabric blend. Yummy! For those of you who are looking for a slimmer, skinny fit, it's their "Roxanne" organic for you. It is simply slimmed down, skinny and FAB! This is gonna sit straight on your hips and then taper down to a slim 12" leg opening. You're gonna find that great signature swirl on the back pockets The organic cotton/spandex blend just gets better and better with each wash. Since the leg opening is sweet and slim be sure to leave a little extra length for scrunching. Your green and looking hot! So we all know and love our Levi's but now there's even more to love about them. The Levi Eco jean collection is just what green should be. The cotton is grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Every element of the line is carefully considered and hand selected to sustain a healthier environment. That's what I'm talkin about! Have a look at the original 501 button-fly boy-fit jean in organic cotton. It's cut straight through the seat, thigh and leg and sits at your waist. the "Rigid" finish is made in dark ring-spun denim with a green selvedge and detailed with green stitching accents, the mark of the Eco line. Have some fun and wear this rolled up for the season. Since it's also the season for crops how about the Eco Twisted Crop. A sexy slim and low rise fit this fits snug through the thigh and calf with a fun "twist". The outseams are slightly twisted and wrap toward the front. Not only is the cotton organic but the hardware is recycled. Look at the cool single-needle stitching that gives each pair it durability and unique imperfections. Playful chainstitched hems and green Eco signature stitching add to the finishing touches. Since you're headed in this green direction do some chilling in Levi's relaxed "Eco Red Slouch" jean. This jean just screams Summer. It's cut loose through the leg, with a square and slouchy fit at the top. I love the oversized pointed back pockets that button and the coin pocket at the waistband with button closure. And of course the soft organically grown cotton/spandex fabric that's has fading at key areas. You'll be living in these jeans all season. |
