In a small workshop on Rue de Montyon in Paris was the starting place for Madame Simone Prle’s legendary expertise. As the daughter of an expert corset-maker, Madame Simone Prle grew up with a natural understanding of a woman’s body and its movements. In 1948 the young corset maker Simone was learning and training for her future as one of Frances most popular lingerie designers. In her eyes all women were beautiful, and it was just a matter of helping them reveal their beauty. Simone Prle’s ideas of combining aesthetic and function to reveal the differing forms of feminine beauty gave her legendary fame. Her lingerie was immediately popular among Parisian woman and in 1956 the company counted 56 employees.
