Bad news I’m afraid. Whilst we know the Uk scene well, we only cover jeans in the US and all our sizing is based on the situation over here.

Oh my! Nice site, great [in a horrible sort of way] pics Am under 5’3″ but … deep rise does not do well in petite sizing. A little booty, a modest saddlebag issue, a definite gap and sheer horrow of the “new [low] rise” mania which has corrupted even normal english. Oh for the day when “sits at natural waist” meant a cut that kissed one’s bellybutton instead of barely grazing the hip-bones.

Hi Mary,
Pitch is the tilt of the waist. In a low rise jean the tilt of the waist can be fairly even which makes the jean feel quite low. Or the waist can sit higher in back and pitch lower in front which makes bending and sitting more comfortable with less accidental “flashing”. For those with a fuller bum getting a waist with more pitch is what makes it possible to wear a low rise!
